Developed for users that record their own videos and want to keep their databases organized, CatDV Standard offers simple yet efficient solutions for editing the file’s metadata, while allowing you to create footage catalogues, slideshows, and so on.

CatDV Standard comes with a built in file system browser that enables you to navigate to any location on your disk drive: you will be able to see the files and folders hierarchically, and you even have the option to resize the respective panel for easy access.

As a result, to import a new video file to your current catalogue, all you have to do is drag and drop it on top of the appropriate window area. At the same time, you can quickly import entire folders with a simple double click.

CatDV Standard allows you to personalize the way in which you get to visualize the file system, or the imported media files: you can switch from tree to hierarchical mode, from list to filmstrip, or grip panels, and so on.

However, in all cases, you will be able to preview the imported file’s content within the app, without having to use third party apps. Moreover, in the Details panel associated with each file, CatDV Standard will automatically extract all the available metadata, and you will have the option to make your own customizations.

CatDV Standard proposes simple yet efficient solutions for keeping a close eye on all your recorded footage: the importing process is quite fast and intuitive, and you get to group files together without dealing with a complicated workflow.

The CatDV Standard application is also capable of working with QuickTime supported file formats (AVI, MPEG, AIFF, MP3, and so on), but is also able to handle Windows Media files, such as WMV, ASF, or WMA.
