Increase the maximum brightness of your MacBook Pro and Pro Display HDR by taking advantage of the range normally reserved for HDR content. #Increase Brightness #Full Brightness #Display Brightness #Brightness #HDR #MacBook
More and more devices are starting to offer support for HDR, and that includes some of Apple's latest displays and laptops. An HDR-capable display supports significantly higher brightness, but this range is normally reserved for HDR content.
Vivid allows your Mac to use the monitor's full supported brightness at all times, not just when viewing HDR content. If you work in a well-lit room or find yourself using your MacBook outside regularly, this extra brightness will make it a lot easier to see what you're doing when out in the sun.
Essentially, once configured, you will have access to a much wider brightness range. Of course, the app should be disabled when viewing HDR content. This is easy to do from the app's menu bar icon — just right-click it to quickly turn the brightness feature on or off. From here, you can also hide the Dock icon and manage it from the menu bar alone.
When trying out the app, you can use the splitscreen mode to see a clear difference between the regular and enhanced brightness. This is the only mode available in the unlicensed version, allowing you to try out the app before purchasing.
