New in Vivid 1.7 (Aug 4, 2022)

This update includes 'Clarity Mode', which you can enable from the Experimental section in the Vivid preferences. It improves support for full screen apps, Spaces and more. Please try it out and let us know what you think!

New in Vivid 1.6 (May 16, 2022)

  • Stability improvements for the win

New in Vivid 1.5 (Apr 26, 2022)

  • Huge improvements to white flashes and issues with Mission Control, Expose and Desktop Spaces
  • Tidied up brightness logic so it always maxes out the system brightness to full before Vivid kicks in and also moves the system brightness in more natural increments
  • We’ve enabled the fix for the video issues by default. You can disable this from Prefences > Experimental if you experience any issues (we haven’t heard about any so far)
  • Vivid will now ask to move itself out of your Downloads folder, so auto updates can then work

New in Vivid 1.4 (Apr 19, 2022)

  • This update has a new (much better) fix for video related issues some were reporting. Please try it out and let us know what you think. You can enable this via Experiments in the Preferences panel
  • Added a new option to only brighten the active window. This is great for when you need to focus, or if you want to save some battery by not brightening up your entire screen.
  • The menu bar icon is now more visible in both light and dark mode
  • Vivid now also works in custom resolutions that are higher than the default ones
  • Decreased the app size

New in Vivid 1.3 (Apr 19, 2022)

  • Experimental Fix for the white overlay on videos in Safari problem. Enable it from Preferences > Experimental
  • Set custom keyboard shortcuts for toggling, increasing and decreasing Vivid. Open Preferences and go to the Shortcuts tab to set it up. This should also be useful for people with external keyboards where the brightness keys don't work correctly.
  • Fixes for MacBook in Clamshell mode
  • Improved external keyboard support even more
  • Small text changes in the menu bar

New in Vivid 1.2 (Apr 11, 2022)
