Shapes proposes time efficient and stylish solutions for organizing your projects and ideas into colorful diagrams without wasting too much time with the editing.

The Shapes application comes with predefined objects that you get to combine in the canvas area, allows you to include multiple slides in the same project, and can export the result to popular image formats (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PDF) or to the SVG standard.

Like with many other diagramming solutions, the Shapes user interface is dominated by the canvas area. Keep in mind that Shapes comes with predefined presets for the canvas size, but you get to customize the dimensions to match your requirements.

The Shapes canvas is surrounded by rulers, and you get to add your own alignment guides on top of the ones provided by the application by default. Both functions can be disabled, but the fact that the objects will automatically align when near to the guidelines can save you a lot of time.

Shapes comes with a collection of predefined objects that you can include in your composition by dragging them in the canvas area, or with a simple double click. Naturally, you get to resize or move them around, while you can access more customization options in the Inspector panel.

Each Shapes project comes with an outline that lists all the included objects in order: you can easily move items in the list with drag and drop.

You can also select two different objects in the compositions and use one of the arrangement buttons included in the top toolbar: difference, intersection, union, or exclusion.

Moreover, via the object’s Inspector panel, you can adjust its opacity, apply filters or rotation effects, modify the object’s fill, the line stroke, the text position or alignment, and more. You also get to load a custom image for the object’s background.
