Express Scribe is a simple to use macOS multimedia player specially made to assist you with the transcription of various audio recordings using a Mac.

Express Scribe features a simple and user-oriented interface that provides instant access to various tools and controls. Hence, you can adjust the playback speed, control multiple channels, manage your files and play even video files from within as single app window.

From the top toolbar you can sync files via FTP connections, load and delete dictation files, transfer recording from various devices, enable the Mini mode and share you work via email.

By accessing the File menu you also have the option to export notes, attach files and use the special audio process tools to remove background noise, increase sound volume and apply the high pass filter.

The bottom panel makes it easy to play, pause, fast forward and rewind the media file, adjust the playback speed along with the audio volume. You have the option to hide or show the video content, notes window and channels control via the View menu.

Express Scribe helps you insert or copy to clipboard the current time, duration, as well as the sender’s name, email and details. Moreover, the Bookmark window allows to set bookmarks, jump from one bookmark to the next and open the bookmark list.

With the help of the Word / Line Counter, you can view how many characters yo have wrote per line, the total number of characters, words and lines and recalculate the values with just a click of a mouse button.

Express Scribe allows you to change the sound device, change the default slow and fast playback speed, adjust the range of the volume auto-just feature and choose between different clarity low frequency cutoff method.

On top of that, you can couple Express Scribe with a foot pedal controller and take control over the playback. You also have the option to reassign hotkeys and set the default RAW and VOX settings via the Preferences window.
