To use mypeople on Mac or PC, you must first download the iOS / Android app and register an account on your phone. From then on you can send and receive unlimited messages, group chat with up to 50 people, send around stickers and photos, call people, do a video chat, and more.
Both the desktop and the mobile apps got updates recently, and while I couldn’t find a changelog for the Mac and Windows builds, the changes for the iOS update are readily available on the iTunes App Store.
