  • Bug fixes:
  • Fixed audio timing issues during Noise Cancellation test playback with Bluetooth speakers: Addressed the bug when users experienced slight audio advancement or delay when toggling noise cancellation during playback.
  • Resolved speaker recording loss after switching Krisp speaker during a stream: Fixed the issue when selecting a different speaker and then reverting to Krisp speaker during a call resulted in lost speaker recording.
  • Fixed inaccurate display in some cases for non-English calls and call duration: Notifications for non-English or extended calls have been optimized to ensure clarity on Krisp's status.
  • User preferences for auto-open summary now save correctly: Adjustments to the auto-summarization settings will now be remembered without any issues, even when toggling the feature off and on.

New in Krisp 2.33.4 (Feb 14, 2024)

  • Presenting Krisp Release 2.33.4 hotfix release, featuring the introduction of Krisp Bot for streamlined meeting participation. You can invite Krisp Bot for recording and transcribing the meeting directly through the Krisp app.
  • You can revoke its access at any time, but once revoked, Krisp Bot cannot be re-invited to the same meeting. Additionally, any recordings and transcriptions made with Krisp before inviting Krisp Bot during a meeting will be discarded to avoid confusion.
  • Please note that Krisp Bot is currently in Beta for Pro users, with plans for future feature enhancements. You can check our help article for more information about Krisp Bot.

  • AI Meeting Assistant improvements:
  • Auto-open meeting page: Your post-call workflow just got smoother. Now, Krisp will automatically open the meeting page after a call ends. You can control this feature from the app settings to better fit your workflow.
  • Display consent text in Zoom: Enhance transparency by showing consent text next to your Zoom username when joining a meeting from Krisp app. This feature can be toggled from Krisp Settings.
  • Advanced calendar event settings: Personalize how you view your calendar events in the app with new adjustable settings:
  • Toggle the visibility of upcoming events next to the Krisp icon in the menu bar.
  • Choose to display the event title, with a customizable character limit for how it's shown in the menu bar. All settings are on by default, and Krisp will remember your choices.
  • Other improvements:
  • Enhanced Noise Cancellation: Integrated a new model that delivers better Noise Cancellation with less CPU usage, ensuring clearer audio while maintaining your system's performance.
  • Bug fixes:
  • Transcript retention after automatic logout: Fixed an issue where transcripts were lost if an automatic logout occurred after the end of a call.
  • "Get debug logs" progress issue: Resolved a bug where the progress circle within the "Get debug logs" function failed to complete, preventing the zipping and saving of logs.
  • UI positioning after restart: Addressed a glitch causing the UI to become partially visible after restarting the app when calendar access is granted.
  • Manual logout popup timing: Corrected the timing of the "Automatically signed out" popup to ensure it appears only when relevant, improving the manual logout process.
  • Audio stream continuity on macOS: On macOS, fixed a problem where the Krisp speaker stream appeared inactive after logging out and back in during an active stream. Users can now resume streaming seamlessly.
  • Transcript toggle with muted mic: Solved an issue where the transcript toggle was forcibly disabled when the selected physical microphone was muted, even though transcription continued to work.
  • Transcribe tab state preservation: Transcribe tab state preservation: Fixed a bug where switching from the paused Transcribe tab to Record & Transcribe didn't maintain the paused state in the app UI, but recording and transcribing was actually paused.
  • Recording upload fix: Resolved an issue preventing the upload of recordings to the web dashboard in some cases.
  • Stream restart on screen share via Zoom: Fixed a bug where streaming would restart after sharing the screen on Zoom using Krisp with macOS Sonoma 14.1.

New in Krisp 2.30.4 (Dec 14, 2023)

  • We are pleased to introduce the new Recording feature to the Pro users, offering a simple and efficient way to capture your meetings.
  • Recording feature has multilingual support so that you can capture your meetings in all languages.
  • You can enable Record & Transcribe option before or during the call right from Krisp app. You can also pause and resume it during the meeting.
  • After the meeting, you can find both transcription and recording on your web dashboard. Here, you can easily listen to your recordings using a simple audio player that seamlessly synchronizes with the corresponding transcripts.
  • Enhanced sharing options also allow users to decide the extent of the meeting details they share, from detailed transcripts and audio to summary-only views.

  • Show calendar in app main view:
  • Your calendar is now accessible directly in the Krisp main view, streamlining your meeting management:
  • All past and upcoming meetings are displayed in the app.
  • You can join meetings directly from the Krisp app.
  • The upcoming meeting name and time left until it begins are now visible on the taskbar.
  • Once a meeting starts, you can also see the remaining time for the meeting on the taskbar.
  • Availability of calendar events in the app view, showing meeting title and time left, can be adjusted from the Krisp Settings.

  • Map Krisp and working speaker device volumes: We've made sure that the volume levels between your working and Krisp speakers are now in sync. You'll see the same volume level in both the working speaker settings and in the Krisp volume control, such as within Zoom's audio settings.
  • Enhanced transition words for better transcripts: We have improved the use of transition words to ensure your meeting transcripts are clearer and more coherent.
  • Updated app UI for better user experience: We've refreshed our user interface, aiming for a more user-friendly and visually appealing experience.
  • Bug fixes:
  • Krisp devices become unplugged after sleep/start of PC: This bug has been fixed, so your Krisp audio devices should now stay connected when your computer wakes up or restarts.
  • The choice 'Same as the system' sometimes is lost: On Mac, we've fixed an issue where the 'Same as the system' selection would be lost if the system's device list changed and did not contain the default device anymore.
  • Stability improvements for macOS Sonoma: We've implemented stability improvements for the Sonoma platform, ensuring a more reliable and seamless experience for all users.

  • Improvements:
  • For Mac users, we've made an enhancement to the Krisp app's behavior. Now, when you launch Krisp from the spotlight while it's already running, the Krisp app UI will open directly. This improvement ensures easy access to the Krisp UI, even if the app icon is concealed by the camera cutout.
  • Bug fixes:
  • Resolved an issue affecting Windows 11 users where Krisp would automatically log out after a machine restart. Now, after logging in to Krisp and restarting the machine, Krisp will maintain the login state as expected.
  • Addressed a problem where the Zoom ringtone was being removed when toggling on Krisp Speaker on Mac. This issue has been fixed, ensuring consistent audio experiences during Zoom calls.
  • Fixed the occurrence of the "Save transcript" window appearing after quitting or signing out of the app.
  • Corrected a notification issue where the "Krisp was ON" notification was erroneously displayed instead of the Meeting Transcript notification.

  • AI Meeting Assistant improvements:
  • All the transcriptions now have a Transcripts Timeline broken down by speakers allowing easy navigation to the moments in the call when each participant spoke.
  • Improved the logic of matching the meetings with events from the Calendar and displaying correct titles for those in the Transcriptions.
  • Integration with Microsoft Calendar enables automatic syncing of meeting and participant information in the Transcripts.
  • In case there are overlapping meetings in the Calendar, you can manually select which meeting the Transcript is for.
  • If you have your Calendar linked to your Krisp account, the meeting participant names will be fetched from there for a more accurate depiction in the Transcripts.
  • You can however set speakers who were not initially listed in the Calendar event. Just start typing their names and the relevant contact will be brought up from your contact list.
  • Fixed the logic for how the dates for recurring calendar events are fetched in the Transcripts.

  • Proxy server users can now provide proxy authentication details to Krisp for uninterrupted app usage.
  • We improved the Test Noise Cancellation flow for better user experience.
  • Unmuting Krisp will now unmute the selected device if it is muted from the system.
  • The Krisp icon will no longer get hidden in the "More tray icons menu" of Windows machines after app reinstall/update if it was previously dragged to the visible part of the system tray.
  • Fixed the issue if Krisp running on the wrong side of the screen after the first run on Windows 11.
  • Corrected prioritization of built-in devices on certain Windows machines to ensure proper device selection in the Krisp app for calls.
  • Addressed the problem of missing logout notification after the first logout from the app.
  • Fixed the incorrect display of system muted state for the selected speaker in the Krisp app UI.
  • Transcript notifications will no longer appear after a short call if the Transcript toggle is turned OFF.

  • Proxy server compatibility:
  • Now Krisp will detect system proxy settings automatically and will try to connect to the network using those configs. However if your proxy is configured as block all/allow list, then you would need to allow the servers that Krisp connects to.

  • Improvements:
  • Enhanced audio device prioritization logic for improved device selection in Krisp. In particular, the Windows Stereo Mix microphone will no longer be auto-selected as a working device in Krisp.

  • We added an Outlook sign-up and sign-in options for a streamlined user journey.
  • You can now consent to help us continuously improve the AI Meeting Assistant by sharing your Transcripts with us.

  • For 1:1 meetings, the names of the speakers will automatically be added to the Transcriptions.
  • Bug fixes:
  • We fixed the cases when Krisp would arbitrarily crash during app usage.
  • Fixed the issue where Krisp would enter an unhealthy state with Krisp Microphone becoming unavailable on Mac.
  • Krisp will now open over full-screen apps on Mac without affecting their full-screen state.
  • The Transcriptions toggle state will no longer be arbitrarily changed after the app update.
  • Resolved the problem where the persistent log-out notification was not displayed to the user upon manual logout. Additionally, fixed the issue where the notification would remain on the screen after logging into the app.
  • Fixed the issue when an incorrect Meeting Note privacy state would be shown if the Note was copied and shared with others.

  • Set the Speaker name in the Transcript:
  • This release brings you the option to set each Speaker's name in your Transcripts. It also introduces enhancements to the AI Meeting Assistant and other improvements and fixes.
  • AI Meeting Assistant improvements:
  • Make your Transcripts more accurate, insightful, and intelligible by setting the name of each Speaker. You can get the name suggestions from the list of your Calendar event participants or set custom names.
  • We improved how your Calendar events get linked to your Transcripts. Now the all-day events, as well as those you didn’t accept the invitation to won’t be linked to your Transcripts. We also improved how the overlapping meetings in your Calendar get reflected
  • You will now get the chance to rate the Transcripts of your meetings and tell us what you love about it, or what you’d like to see improved. This way, you will help us make the feature better and more useful for you.
  • The notifications are now redesigned and improved to allow you to control the Noise Cancellation and Meeting Transcripts states right from the notification at the call start.
  • A loading screen will now inform you that the Meeting Summary is currently being generated and will show the progress bar to track the process.
  • We added the privacy notice and an FAQ section on the Meeting Notes page to make sure you have all the needed information at hand.
  • You won’t be automatically assigned a default template for your Meeting Notes. Instead, you will get the chance to set your default while generating your first Summary.
  • Other improvements and bug fixes:
  • The filters of the Meeting Notes will now be removed after clicking on them for the second time.
  • We fixed the issue when the call-start notification informing about the Noise Cancellation state would not be shown because of an overlapping notification from the previous call.
  • We addressed the cases when you could toggle the Transcription option On and OFF from the call start notification while the feature was not ready to be used yet. Instead, the following notification will now indicate the feature is being prepared.
  • We fixed the issue when the Krisp app UI would open and automatically close after the onboarding steps are completed.
  • We fixed the cases when Krisp would not work properly after the system start unless it was killed and restarted.
  • Krisp Widget opened on an external monitor will no longer disappear if the monitor gets disconnected.

  • This hotfix release includes a range of minor improvements and bug fixes, as well as removes the Beta tag from the application.

  • Improvements:
  • The Background Voice Cancellation is vastly enhanced for all users. More specifically, this version brings:
  • improved differentiation between primary and secondary speakers, as well as less adaption time required for both of them,
  • enhanced level of voice-keeping for the primary speaker and voice cancellation for the secondary speaker,
  • better support of poor and low bandwidth devices,
  • better performance for Bluetooth devices,
  • improved Noise Cancellation quality especially when the CPU is under high load.
  • Bug fixes:
  • We fixed the cases when Krisp would freeze after a period of device inactivity while causing high CPU usage.
  • We also fixed the case when Krisp widget would freeze on the screen, passing no audio stream to the communication apps while causing high CPU usage.

New in Krisp 1.43.2 (Dec 27, 2022)

  • Krisp will now give you a visual hint after the system wake that the app is detecting your physical devices. Once done, the banner will disappear and the device dropdown list will show the available physical microphones and speakers.
  • We fixed the cases where the app behavior wouldn’t correspond to the state of the “Launch Krisp at system startup” setting.
  • You will no longer see multiple Krisp windows in the list of screen options when sharing your screen through Zoom or other calling applications.
  • You won’t see multiple Krisp icons in the Dock after a system restart anymore.
  • Krisp tooltips on Ventura OS won’t invert or overlap if you hover the mouse over them a few times.

New in Krisp 1.41.13 (Sep 29, 2022)

  • Improvements:
  • You will now get a notification when the Background Voice Cancellation is ON at the call start canceling both the noises and others’ voices. The notification will also inform you when the Background Voice Cancellation starts working during an active call when a compatible device is selected in Krisp.
  • The app will now communicate the number of Noise Cancellation minutes left for the day or the remaining time of the trial in a more explicit way so that the Free and trial users can organize their usage in a more effective way.
  • Bug fixes:
  • We fixed the problem of not hearing others or not being heard at call start.
  • The version solves the issue when Kirsp would hang if starting a call directly after waking the device up.
  • Now the audio stream won’t be restarted during a call if the system default device is changed while the microphone selected in Krisp is "Same as system".
  • Also, the microphone or speaker audio will not have disruption if the used physical device is unplugged and replugged during a call.

New in Krisp 1.40.11 (Sep 20, 2022)

  • Background Voice Cancellation:
  • This release brings Background Voice Cancellation to Mac users thus drastically improving your online calling experience. This is a breakthrough audio technology that detects and cancels not only the noise but also all other nearby human voices, resulting in only the primary speaker’s voice in the conversation. No lengthy setups are needed - you only need to wear a headset, toggle Krisp ON, and bring extra voice clarity to your calls.
  • Bug fixes and improvements:
  • We fixed the case when the Sign Out notification would appear at the wrong time.

New in Krisp 1.39.6 (Jul 18, 2022)

  • With this version, Krisp will let you know if you are automatically signed out of your account.
  • Get notified if you are signed out of Krisp:
  • Krisp will now notify you if you get automatically signed out of the app. It can happen if you sign in to your account on more devices than your current plan allows or if there is a session timeout. This way, you can be confident you don’t accidentally start your calls without Noise Cancellation.
  • Bug fixes and improvements:
  • This release fixes the problem when sometimes the Krisp app UI would appear in the wrong place - away from the Krisp icon in the toolbar.

  • Latest Call Summary:
  • If you miss the Call Summary after your meeting, the Latest Call Summary will give you the possibility to revisit those insights later. The Latest Call Summary is a handy place to see the details about your previous call that was longer than 5 mins.
  • Bug fixes and improvements:
  • Now Krisp won’t prevent you from signing out of your Windows user, or shutting down your computer.
  • We fixed the cases when sometimes Krisp app would crash when clicking Show Widget.

New in Krisp 1.38.4 (Jun 14, 2022)

  • This version introduces the Latest Call Summary, indicates when the Acoustic Echo Cancellation is ON, and brings more bug fixes to you.
  • Latest Call Summary:
  • If you miss the Call Summary after your meeting, the Latest Call Summary will give you the possibility to revisit those insights later. The Latest Call Summary is a handy place to see the details about your previous call that was longer than 5 mins.
  • Echo Cancellation state indicated in the app:
  • With this release, the app will tell you if you need to adjust your Krisp setup to have Acoustic Echo Cancellation. This way, the other meeting participants will not hear an echo of their voices during the call thus making the meeting more effective.
  • Sunsetting the Talk Time on Virtual Background:
  • From this version on, the Talk Time will become unavailable on the Krisp Virtual Background. The feature brought more distraction for the meeting participants during video calls than added value to your Krisp experience. So, we made the decision to deprecate the feature. However, you can still see your Talk Time during the calls in real-time on the Krisp Widget.
  • Bug fixes and improvements:
  • We fixed the cases when Krisp would mistakenly show warning icons in the app UI.
  • We fixed the problem when users would sometimes be logged out of the app for no specific reason

  • The transition between the virtual backgrounds will now be smoother.
  • You will have a better Noise Cancellation as well as your voice will be kept in a more accurate way even if you have to use a low-quality microphone.

New in Krisp 1.36.4 (May 3, 2022)

  • This release brings the Blur and Adjust Light options to level up your video calls.
  • New features:
  • The Blurred Background gives you more freedom in how you want to appear in your video calls. Choose the option to keep the concentration on you and blur everything that goes on behind you. The feature is still in beta and will continuously improve with the upcoming versions.
  • Use the Adjust Light for your video thumbnail to present yourself in a better light during your video calls. Remember to choose a background image or blur the background before fixing the brightness.
  • Bug fixes and improvements:
  • The image ordering logic for the Virtual Backgrounds is improved. Now the images will be arranged from the latest to the earliest selected one making the feature more intuitive and easy to use.
  • With this version, we have polished the app and refactored some parts of it to make your Krisp usage smoother.
  • Now the Krisp app and the in-app notifications will open up from the correct place in the menu bar at the top of your screen.

New in Krisp 1.35.10 (Apr 14, 2022)

  • With this release, the state you chose for Krisp Microphone toggle stays intact after free minutes renewal. The fixed bugs and improvements will make your Krisp usage better.
  • For users on Personal plan:
  • With this version, the Remove Noise toggle for Krisp Microphone will automatically return to the enabled state after the free minutes get renewed.
