Shutdown Schedulers Apps and Alternatives

Shutting down one's Mac is meant to cut down power consumption in a controlled way.

Shutdown schedulers are apps taht will enable users to schedule their Macs to automatically turn off according to pre-defined rules.

For example, the computer can be set to power off when its processor activity reaches a certain level, when the dedicated counter gets to zero, when there is no mouse and/or keyboard activity for a specific amount of time, when an app finishes its task and so on.

Usually, such apps display a warning before actually shutting down giving the user time to cancel the shut down action, if they need to.

Some of these apps might also allow their users to set their Mac to restart and hibernate if necessary.
