Play M4A Files

M4A files resemble MP4 files, but they do not contain a video track, although both of them are compressed using the Apple Lossless Encoder.

Because M4A is basically the audio-only version of the MP4 container format, most MP4 players may be used to open M4A files.

Originally developed by Apple, M4A audio files are currently supported by several 3rd party applications.

M4A players may also be used to create playlists where users will be able to add their favorite tracks for later playback.
