Open XWD Files

XWD is an uncompressed bitmap file format generate by the X Windows System. Usually, XWD image files contain a screen snapshot, often referred to as a screen dump, of a specific window or even a background from a given app's interface.

XWD picture files may feature variable amounts of colors according to the capabilities of the video card used when grabbing the image.

If users want to view their XWD images on their Macs, they will need to find and use a compatible image viewer.
