Open JPF Files

JPF is a graphic raster format that features a new coding system and graphic compression standard, namely JPEG 2000 Core Coding. Users will also be able to save and store their own JPF images using lossy or lossless compression.

Unlike JPEG images encoded using the DCT (Digital Cosine Transform) method, JPF images are encoded using a wavelet compression method.

JPF is JPEG image format's successor and comes with support for image transparency, and additional metadata information describing the contents of the image file.

Since JPF is not a very popular format, users need to find and use a specialized image viewer that features support for this specific graphic format in order to open their JPF files.
