FIT (also known as FITS) is an image format used for storing grabbed frames from telescope observations.
Particularly developed for saving and storing astronomical image data in a standard format, the FIT format usually contains both binary data and ASCII text .
In order to view their FIT images, users will need to find and use a dedicated graphic app that comes with built-in support for this particular image format.
FIT viewers will help their users to export their images to other formats that cab be accessed and edited using a wider range of apps.
