Open BMP Files

BMP is a raster bitmap image that features several level of color depth per pixel (depending on the number in the file header).

BMPs are uncompressed images, therefore they are usually larger in size than most other graphic format files.

Because of its popularity, BMP is a common format that may be opened and/or edited using most graphic apps.

Nonetheless, its large size makes it quite unsuitable for file transfers over the Internet.

Ususally, most BMP viewing apps will also allow their users to perform basic editing operations, like adjusting the brightness, contrast or saturation of the image, or even cropping and rotating the image.
