Make XCF Files

XCF (short for eXperimental Computing Facility) is a raster graphic file format natively generated by the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP).

The image data stored in XCF image files is compressed only by a  Run-Length Encoding method, although it supports other types of compression, such as bzip2 and gzip.

To be able to create their own XCF image files, users will need to find and use a specialized image converter that comes with built-in support for this particular graphics format.
