Make JPX Files

7 applications in this hubLast updated: May 2nd 2024, 14:34 GMT

The JPX image format is based on the wavelet compression algorithm and it was created as an alternative to the discrete cosine transform-based JPEG algorithm used to encode standard JPEG images.

JPX image files can be encoded using either lossless or lossy compression and they are based on JPEG 2000 Core Coding, a specialized coding system and graphic compression standard.

If users want to make their own JPX images, users will have to encode their files to the JPX format using compatible graphic converters that feature built-in support for this particular image format.
