Create WMV Files

WMV (short for Windows Media Video) is a video compression format developed  by Microsoft as a rival to RealVideo for Internet streaming purposes.

Typically, WMV are stored inside ASF container files, with the audio streams encoded using the WMA encoding engine.

WMV is a common video format that can be opened only by select multimedia apps, therefore users will want to convert their videos to this format if they have to use such an app.

Some WMV makers will allow their users to adjust the source video before exporting it to the WMV format.
