Create RS Files

RS (better known as RAS, an abbreviation for Sun Raster Graphic) is a raster graphics format developed and used by Sun Microsystems. RS files can be compressed using the RLE image compression algorithm.

RS image files also come with built-in support for storing 1, 8, 24 or 32 bits of data per pixel.

If users want to create their own RAS images, they will have to convert regular images to RS using compatible image converters that have feature support for this particular graphics format.
