Create RAS Files

RAS (abbreviation for Sun Raster Graphic) is a raster image file format created and used by Sun Microsystems. RAS graphics files can be compressed using the RLE image compression algorithm.

RAS image files also have built-in support for storing 1, 8, 24 or 32 bits of data per pixel.

When users want to create their own RAS images, they have to convert regular images to RAS using compatible image converters that have built-in support for this particular graphics format.
