Create PLS Files

PLS is a file format used to save and store multimedia playlists. Compared to M3U, PLS is capable of storing more information related to a song's title and length.

Such playlist files contain a list of the locations of video and audio files that can be processed by numerous of multimedia players.

PLS deals only with the absolute and relative paths of the files, it does not include the actual tracks.

One can create a custom PLS file by saving the current playlist to this format, thus having the option to playback the file with another player.

However, one should keep in mind that if the referenced files will ever be deleted, moved, or renamed, they will no longer be played, even if they are displayed in the player's playlist.
