Create JPF Files

JPC is a graphic raster format that encodes images using a wavelet compression method and developed as an alternative to the discrete cosine transform-based JPEG algorithm used to encode standard JPEG files.

JPF images can be encoded using a lossless or lossy image compression algorithm and based on the JPEG 2000 Core Coding method, a specialized coding system and a graphic compression standard.

JPF is the successor to the JPEG graphic format and features support for image transparency, and additional metadata information describing the contents of the image file.

If users want to create their own JPF images, they have to encode their image files to the JPF format using graphic converters that with built-in support for this particular image format.
