Create JP2 Files

JP2 is an image format developed to replace the discrete cosine transform-based JPEG algorithm used in when encoding standard JPEG graphic files with a new wavelet compression algorithm.

Because JP2 files can be encoded using either lossy or lossless compression methods, users have a lot of liberty when it comes to creating such files.

To be able to create custom JP2 files, users will need to convert their images to the JP2 format using compatible graphic converters with built-in support for this particular image format.

There is a wide range of graphic applications that support creating JP2 files, and most of them allow the users to apply effects to the source images and to rotate, crop or resize them before converting them to JP2 format.
