Create JNG Files

JNG (short for JPEG Network Graphics) is an image file format based on JPEG and related to PNG. Originally created as a sub-format for the MNG files, JNG can also be used as a standalone format.

Users usually create JNG image files because this graphics format because, although it uses a lossy compression algorithm, it features an alpha channel with support for transparency.

To be able to create their own JNG images, users will be required to choose and use a compatible graphic converter that features support for this particular image format.

Usually, JNG creators will also allow their users to adjust the size and orientation of the source image before exporting it to the JNG format.
