Create JBIG Files

JBIG, abbreviation for Joint Bi-level Image Group, is a lossless image compression standard that stores black and white (1-bit) raster image data.

Because JBIG has been developed for compressing binary images, particularly faxes, users will create their own JBIG files when they want to send out fax messages.

If users have to create custom JBIG image files, they will need to choose and use a specialized graphic app that features built-in support for exporting to this specific image standard.

Before creating JBIG images, users will also have the option to crop, rotate or flip their source images, while also being able to preview them before converting them to the JBIG graphics compression standard.
