Convert JP2 Files

JP2 (acronym for JPEG 2000) is an image format developed as a replacement for the discrete cosine transform-based JPEG algorithm (usually used for the JPEG files) with the wavelet compression algorithm.

Because JP2 image files are saved using either lossless or lossy compression, users will have to keep this in mind when converting them to other formats.

Users will usually convert JP2 images to other graphic formats to be able to open and edit them using a wider array of apps.

JP2 converters will also offer their users the option to specify the output format they prefer.
