Convert FIT Files

FITS (abbreviation for Flexible Image Transport System) is an image format that is widely used for saving and storing the grabbed frames from telescope observations.

FIT, also known as FITS, was developed to store astrononmical image data using a standard format, and it usually contains both binary data and ASCII text.

Users are typically more interested in their files' image contents, so they will opt for converting FIT files to other image formats, rather than ASCII-compatible ones.

Because FIT is not a highly popular format, users will ususally prefer to convert their FIT image files to other, more common, formats.
