Feature-packed and intuitive notes app that helps you organize your journal, memos, to-do lists, and anything else you might need to write down. #Notes App #Note Organizer #Daily Journal #Note #Notes #Journal
Just like an old-fashioned journal, the app you choose to store your notes will be quite personal, and it’s important to find one that has the features you need and also matches your subjective aesthetic.
UpNote does pretty much anything you can expect from a notes app, and the development team hasn’t neglected its looks either. The user interface is modern, with a smart layout, and it’s very easy to navigate. All told, it seems to make for a rather compelling package.
Whether you want to write a daily journal, add and tick off tasks in a to-do list, jot down quick notes, create entire notebooks, or whatever else you can think of, UpNote can do it all.
It supports rich text formatting, lists, embedded images, links, syntax highlighting for code blocks, tables, equations, and more. This versatility makes it suitable for virtually anyone, and you can create templates for easily adding certain types of notes.
When adding notes, there are several ways to keep track of them. Similar items can be added to notebooks, you can use tags to quickly filter notes that relate to a certain topic, and important notes can be added to Quick Access.
Naturally, you have a search function, which can be used to find things in all your notes, those in specific notebooks, and those that have been added to Quick Access.
The sidebar can be hidden at any time, and you can also enable Focus Mode to disable the list of notes as well. Finally, hide the formatting toolbar to get the most minimalistic experience, with nothing but the current note to focus on.
In Focus Mode, you can still cycle through notes, and the window can be kept on top of all other apps if you need to have access to a note when working on other things.
UpNote does just about everything right. It’s worth mentioning that it can work offline but also sync your notes to other devices, and it’s available on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, iPadOS, and Android.
Really, the only issue is that it’s an Electron-based app, with the drawbacks that this framework brings. A native app would be ideal, but if the disk space usage and resource footprint don’t bother you, UpNote is difficult to beat.
