As soon as you start typing in Paragraphs, all the interface elements fade away, leaving only the written text in the main window. When you highlight one or more words, the formatting toolbar is displayed, enabling you to change the text’s style or insert hyperlinks. You can also apply modifications to an entire paragraph to create a heading or quote.

Staring at a bright white background can become very tiring, especially when working at night. Thankfully, Paragraphs also provides an optional dark color theme.

If you just want to write without having to remember confusing markup instructions, Paragraphs is a great choice, but you should not expect it to help you create complex layouts.

You can choose between several fonts, increase or decrease their size, as well as use the formatting options available from the toolbar mentioned above.

Paragraphs stores all your written documents in the Overview, and you can export them to plain text, Markdown or HTML, as well as distribute them using the OS X sharing menu. However, it is not easy to organize items in the Overview, as they cannot be placed into folders or sorted automatically.

Unfortunately, the application does not allow you to open any type of document, making it difficult to import your existing works for further editing.
