There is no doubt that Microsoft Word is one of the best, if not the best, full featured text editor out there. Because all it has to offers doesn’t come cheap, you might be tempted towards a more affordable alternative.

Nevron Writer aims to be a valid alternative to other, more popular text editors, with a very similar philosophy, a large collection of powerful text editing features and a similar interface.

If you are used with Microsoft Word, you could say that working with Nevron Writer feels very familiar due to its interface that does a good job of keeping the fairly intuitive WYSIWYG layout about the same as its counterparts.

While this is a good thing, it must be said that you should expect some tiny issues with Nevron Writer’s  interface, as sometimes the paste function doesn’t work well, and the application doesn’t come with support for automatic scrolling, a very useful feature when you will need to select text using the mouse in order to reach, for example, the end of the page.

This said, from now onwards the good news keep stacking up as Nevron Writer can perform both basic and advanced text editing tasks.

As expected, the application enables you to format the text in a wide variety of ways, use super and subscripts, use line indentations, control the line height, the paragraph’s alignment, as well as to use bullets and numbering, tables, and group blocks.

Besides the support for text formats such as TXT, RTF, DOCX, HTML, and PDF, Nevron Writer also comes with support for the following image formats: JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, EMF, and WMF.

Taking all of the above into consideration, Nevron Writer is a competent word-processing tool that offers almost all the benefits of other full0featured text editors that have a longer history behind them, at only a fraction of the cost.

The only real issue here is not whether Nevron Writer isn’t as good as other more popular text editors, but whether you can ignore its small bugs that become quite annoying at times and, unfortunately, have the potential to hinder your productivity.
