Window Duplicator For Mac

Window Duplicator is a minimalist macOS utility designed to help you send windows to the second display during presentations, without having to show your primary screen to the audience, or having to turn around to see what exactly is visible.

The user interface is represented by a small window where you can see the list of windows currently active on your desktop. Note that if there are multiple windows open for the same app, Window Duplicator will include distinct entries.

Window Duplicator does not update the list in real time, so you have to press the refresh button to see the most recent listings. At the same time, if you select a certain entry, the app offers you the possibility to preview its content in a small thumbnail.

Even though you can resize the main window, the thumbnail area remains the same in all cases, which might be problematic when dealing with windows with a lot of details.

Worth mentioning is that the app does not move the windows on the second display: it will only stream a preview, that can be easily controlled by the user. You can start, pause, and stop the screen completely with a press of a button.

The projected window is adjusting to the screen size automatically, and if you resize the original window, the modifications will be reflected in the second display. Note that you can stream only one window at a time.

Window Duplicator can help you deliver presentations without pausing to find the windows that you need and moving them around.

However, during our tests, we have also noticed that Window Duplicator does not deal well with having multiple windows open for the same app: the second screen goes completely blank when you try to send one of the windows to the second screen. Just restart the app to bring everything back to normal.
