Wallpaperer)is a small macOS application that resides in your status bar and can automatically change your desktop wallpaper.

The Wallpaperer utility downloads content posted by Reddit community members, and after the initial setup requires minimal user interaction.

Right off the bat, you can simply open the Wallpaperer menulet and select the Update option in order to change your wallpaper right away. By default, Wallpaperer is set to use images that have been taken by Reddit users around the world.

However, if you navigate to the Preferences window, you get to add new subreddits in the mix, either by activating any of the predefined communities or by adding new ones.

The same area enables you to add the utility to the startup items list or to adjust the wallpaper changing frequency. Note that Wallpaperer can filter the pictures and eliminate the not safe for work content.

Considering that not all images have the same resolution or quality, Wallpaperer offers you the option to set certain limits in order to make sure that any of the new wallpapers will look good on your desktop.

This way, you can set the minimum resolution level, the aspect ratio tolerance, and the default display style: stretch to fill screen, full screen, fit screen or center.

Whenever a new wallpaper is placed on your desktop, via the Wallpaperer menu you get to see the location where the photo has been taken and the image resolution.

You also get to see who, when and where has posted the image, and even choose to launch the Reddit post in your default web browser.

Worth mentioning is that, even though there is no option to go back to the previous Wallpaperer, if you change the images fast enough, you might end up going back to where you started.
