Vapor Trails is a minimalist macOS application that brings flying planes that leave vapor trails on your desktop. The planes can fly above your desktop wallpaper and you can customize the trails as well as the number of planes.

Each plane is black and small, which means that they fly at high altitude. Moreover, the contrails are made of 2 parallel trails of custom length, which you can configure from the app’s Preferences window.

In addition to this, users can also configure the direction the wind is blowing on your desktop, which affects the shape of the vapor trails. What’s more, you can select a custom number of planes to be displayed. The more planes there are, the more CPU power the app consumes.

Vapor Trails can display contrails on all your desktops at the same time. This means that you will see the planes and their vapor trails even on your 4th desktop that has a different desktop background wallpaper.
