macOS comes with built-in screenshot capturing capabilities, but you need to rely on third party apps if you want to annotate or share the output image. Team Paper Snap is a small utility that brings all three capabilities under the same roof.

Right off the bat, the Team Paper Snap menulet will be placed in the status bar so you can trigger the screenshot capturing process in no time. Note that Team Paper Snap also comes with a system wide hotkey for the function (Option + Shift + S) that can be changed via the Preferences panel.

Worth mentioning is that Team Paper Snap comes with integrated plug-ins for Photoshop and Sketch so you can easily export artboards to the annotation editor. Hotkeys can trigger both plug-ins, and the user gets to modify the default combination.

By default, each screenshot captured by Team Paper Snap is transferred to the annotation editor where you can highlight the points of interest, use different color labels to keep them organized, integrate text messages, or draw simple objects.

The output image can be saved locally as a PNG document that also integrates your notes, copied to the clipboard, or uploaded to the cloud. The latter option is great because the image will be opened in a web app and others get to make annotations or interact with your notes.
