Apply a tinted shade on top of your screen, using any color you like, in order to protect your eyes from the powerful light and toggle its visibility via a system wide hotkey. #Tinded screen shade #Tint screen light #Custom screen shade #Tint #Screen #Shade
Screen Shades Pro offers you the possibility to make the screen’s light more pleasant for your eyes by applying a tint on top of the screen, using a color of your choice.
By default, Apple computers do provide keyboard controls for adjusting the screen brightness, but in some cases, this might not be enough.
The Screen Shades Pro user interface is represented by a minimalist panel where you get to toggle the tint screen's visibility, select the tint color, and adjust its darkness with the help of a simple slider bar.
Screen Shades Pro comes with four predefined colors (gray, blue, yellow, and pink) but also allows you to select any color via a standard color picker.
Screen Shades Pro comes with system-wide hotkeys for toggling the shade screen visibility, and you get to choose which one you want to employ: Option + X, Option + Z, or Command + Option + Z.
Screen Shades Pro will apply the tinted screen to a secondary display, as long as it is connected to your Mac before launching the app. On the other hand, the tint will not be visible when you run apps in full-screen mode. To make sure that the Screen Shades Pro tint will be applied to all Desktop Spaces, within the contextual menu incorporated with the app’s Dock icon make sure that the utility is associated to all desktops.
Moreover, for the tint screen to be visible, the Screen Shades Pro app must be running at all times, and you can get it out of your way only by minimizing the controller window. If you opt for hiding the app, the tint screen will also disappear.
To conclude, if you have sensitive eyes, Screen Shades Pro can help you put a tinted shade on top of your screen, using a color of your choice.
However, Screen Shades Pro does have some limitations: you cannot employ it with apps running in full-screen mode, you must manually assign it to all Spaces, and you cannot define a custom hotkey for toggling the tint screen visibility.
