Artpip For Mac

Artpip helps you give an artistic look to your Mac’s screen without having to waste any time looking for high-quality images. The utility resides in the status bar and automatically updates your wallpaper every day.

Once you install the Artpip app and configure it to launch at login, the utility does not require any more user interaction. If you opt for the featured mode, the wallpaper will be changed each day, and a new piece of art will be set in place.

Note that Artpip relies on an editor-curated list of images and that you cannot change the daily wallpaper within the app. However, when defining the custom mode, you get to select the collections and years for the paintings, and adjust the refresh rate.

If you quit the application, the Artpip wallpaper will remain on your screen, but you can also navigate to the System Preferences and change it manually. Via the Artpip main window, you can choose to blur or dim the image and adjust the effects with the help of two simple slider bars.

The pictures used by Artpip come in Ultra-HD 4K resolution, and you get to zoom in that image by using the Control + Command + A hotkey: just use your mouse to navigate to different areas of the painting.

Within the Artpip status bar menu, you get to see the name of the daily painting, together with the name of the artist. The utility can also direct you to the Artpip.com store where you can choose to order paper or canvas reproductions or see other paintings by the same author.
