A slim and straightforward OS X software solution to batch combine unprotected VOB files to a large MPEG file without re-encoding. #VOB combiner #VOB to MPEG #VOB merge #Merge #Combine #VOB
VOBMerge is a very simple Mac OS X application designed to help you merge 2 or more VIDEO_TS file (in the .vob format) into a single MPEG file. The condition is that VOB files must not be protected. Also, VOB files will not be re-encoded in the process.
VOB files are usually included in DVDs and contains multiple types of media information, such as video, audio and subtitles. Some VOB files can be encrypted, too. Keep in mind that the VOBMerge app does not support encrypted VOBs.
The application features a minimalistic and plain-looking OS X user interface. At first launch, you will see the “Drop Video Files here…” message. After dropping your VOB files, they will be displayed as a compact list.
Because VOBMerge is an optionless application, the next step consists only of clicking on the “Merge” button. What’s more, a progress bar on the lower part of the main window provides a graphical estimation of the elapsed and remaining time.
To summarize, VOBMerge is an extremely simple and easy-to-use OS X utility for the common task of converting multiple VOB files to MPEG. Although it does not offer any preferences, it could be the ideal tool for such a job.
