Smart DVD Creator For Mac

Burning video content to DVDs in order to backup the data or for transport purposes is not a complicated task if you have a DVD burning suite that includes basic tools. Smart DVD Creator is a macOS application that tries to provide everything you need in these situations.

Smart DVD Creator comes with a fairly intuitive user interface and you will find your way soon enough. The main window is separated in 2 tabs: Input and Settings.

To get started, you must import the video content you want to process via the Input area (the app is able to process MP4, MKV, FLV, AVI, MPEG, DivX, DV, WMV, AVCHD, HD-MOV, HD-MKV or HD-WMV files).

You will be able to view thumbnails for the imported files together with the movie time and the file size. What’s more, Smart DVD Creator allows you to preview the video content within the application.

Smart DVD Creator allows you to add subtitles to your videos or you can use the Clipping panel to clean up the video.

The Smart DVD Creator app is also able to combine several videos to a file, can extract both the audio and video content from a file and multiplex audio and video data into the same file.

Via the Smart DVD Creator Settings panel you can select the DVD writer you want to use, you get to specify the location for the temporary files and you can adjust the video quality, the aspect ratio or the TV standard.

Once that you have finished organizing your videos, press the “Create ISO Files” from the top toolbar to generate ISO archives, or press the “Burn” button from the bottom right corner to send the media to a disc.

To conclude, Smart DVD Creator is a fairly intuitive application that intends to helps you generate ISO files or burn DVDs.

During our tests the application crashed several times while previewing the videos and, even though the progress bar indicated that the process was 100% complete, it was not able to generate an ISO archive.
