RichFLV For Mac

RichFLV is a minimalist but very efficient Mac OS X application that enables you to view and edit FLV documents. Besides the processing functionalities, RichFLV also integrates conversion tools: you can generate new FLV files that contain only the sound, or no sound at all, you can create MP3 tracks, PNG or JPG image files, and more.

RichFLV has been designed to run on the Adobe Air platform, so you must make sure the runtime is deployed on your Mac beforehand. Once you launch the RichFLV .air archive, the installer takes care of everything and places the utility in your Applications folder.

To get started, open the FLV file you want to process by using the RichFLV File menu, and the app allows you to preview the video content. On the right side of the player panel, you can view details about the associated metadata and add new parameters.

RichFLV does not come with any documentation, but thanks to its well organized user interface you should be able to find your way around in no time. The application allows you to browse the video by keyframes, to set in and out points, or to device navigation or event cue points.

RichFLV enables you to import more FLV files in order to stitch them together, or add MP3 files that can be employed as soundtracks for the original video. What’s more, RichFLV packs multiple export options: you can create new FLV files, audio (MP3) or image (JPEG, PNG) files, SFW or XML files.
