The Articulate 360 platform offers you the possibility to share content and courses on any platform with ease. The service comes with multiple companion apps, designed to help you manage your content in an efficient manner.

Peek is an unobtrusive app that resides in your status bar and offers you the possibility to quickly record screencasts. The app connects to your Articulate 360 account and automatically uploads the recording to the cloud.

Right off the bat, Peek prompts you for the Articulate 360 credentials: you get to register for an account free of charge but keep in mind that you can use it only for 30 days before opting for one of the available subscription plans.

The next step is to start a new recording: Peek will detect all the currently running apps that have a window active on the screen and provide thumbnail previews.

Peek will automatically adjust the recording area to the window size, but you get to perform manual adjustments before starting the video capturing process.

What’s more, Peek also offers the user the possibility to select the audio input source you want to use for the recording. This means that you get to easily embed in the recording the sounds captured by the microphone, but also the built-in input.

Once you stop recording a screencast, Peek prompts you if you want to upload the video and make it available online. Just provide a name for the file, and Peek will upload the content to the cloud and place the direct link to the video onto your clipboard.

Peek also keeps a list with all the uploaded recordings in the status bar panel so that you can get the link to any upload at a later time. You can also choose to see the screencast on the Articulate 360 platform (you will be directed to your default web browser.)
