Quickly extract the images you need from your videos, with an efficient utility that can grab stills or every possible frame from a clip #Extract Frame #Extract Image #Video to Image #Extract #Frame #Image
Extracting a still from a video seems simple enough, but it gets more difficult if you need to grab a bunch of images or process them in some other way.
SnapMotion is designed to make this process as efficient as possible. It allows you to extract any number of frames from a video, in the original quality, rotate and flip them, and even convert them into GIFs or videos. It is also capable of processing multiple videos in quick succession.
To begin with, you can either import a local file or simply paste a web URL, including from YouTube. You will be able to preview the content, flip or rotate it, and navigate to the scene you’re interested in. You can also slow down playback or even move frame by frame.
It would have been nice if a hotkey was available for capturing images, as it would make your job a lot easier if you wanted to navigate using the mouse without having to move the cursor to the capture button each time.
Of course, this is probably the app’s most useful feature. Whether you want to extract every frame in a video, or just grab a certain number of them for a time-lapse, SnapMotion makes it easy.
You can configure the app to grab a frame at certain intervals, extract a specific number of frames from the video, or just capture every available frame.
As the images are captured, you can specify how they should be saved. By default, they are written as a series of images, but it’s also possible to create animated GIFs and time-lapse videos. This is all handled automatically after the frames themselves are captured, and you can process multiple clips in batch mode. However, they must all use the same output settings.
SnapMotion is great at what it does, and it’s very easy to use. Whether you want to grab individual stills or multiple frames, it will get the job done without a hitch.
