Mubi For Mac

Applying distortion effects and filters to your videos usually requires using a complex video processing application. Mubi is a small Mac OS X utility that offers you the possibility to apply various filters to your MOV files without having to deal with complex tools.

The Mubi user interface resumes to its main window where you can preview the video content and the filter’s effect.

Right below the video preview area you can see the video time stamp, the number of frames and a slider bar that allows you to navigate the movie. Naturally, as the video progresses, the time stamp will reflect the changes.

From a drop down menu placed on the bottom right corner of the Mubi main window you can select the filter you want to apply to your movie.

Mubi allows you to choose between the following effects: Bloom, BumpDistortion, BoxBlur, CircularScreen, CircularWrap, CMYKHalftone, ColorInvert, ColorPosterize, ComicEffect, Crystallize, DiscBlur, DotScreen Edges, EdgeWork, GaussianBlur, Gloom, HatchedScreen, HoleDistortion, Kaleidoscope, LineScreen, MotionBlur, Pixellate, SepiaTone, ToneCurve, Torus Lens Distortion, Twirl Distortion, Vortex Distortion and Zoom Blur.

Once you are satisfied with the result, Mubi allows you to export the project to another MOV file by pressing the “Export” button placed in the bottom right corner of the main window.

Mubi can be used to give a personalized look to your MOV files, but keep in mind that the application provides access to a limited number of video filters that cannot be customized in any way.
