To activate Filmotech you need to activate the English Internet search scripts options.
For this go to Preferences -> Internet scripts and activate Passion-XBMC (a multisource movie database), DVDEmpire DVD and DVDEmpire BR.
To select your favorite search engine by default, go to Preferences -> Profiles, Default tab, Internet Search group and choose your engine in the "Search in" menu.
