iReSign For Mac

iReSign is a lightweight and easy-to-use tool that allows you to sign or re-sign IPA files with Apple digital certificates for distribution. It can be used to generate signed iOS app bundles from existing XCARCHIVE files.

When a new app is created, the project can either be published by the developers or handed over to another team for release. When this happens, the development build needs to be re-signed before it is ready for publication.

iReSign can be very helpful in these scenarios, as it makes the task a lot simpler and enables you to avoid using the command console.

The application can either re-sign existing unencrypted IPA files or create new ones from XCARCHIVE files. The process is identical in both cases, however, so no complex procedures need to be learned.

You can drag an unsigned IPA or XCARCHIVE file into the first field, or just use the browse button to locate it. Then, the path to the mobile provisioning profile needs to be provided. Lastly, you should enter your certificate name from Keychain Access in the bottom field.

Once you click the ReSign! button, the file is processed, and the re-signed version is saved in the same folder as the source file.
