Twin Finder For Mac

Twin Finder is a straightforward Mac OS X application specially made to help you find large and small duplicate files stored on your Mac’s hard disk or external storage devices.

As follows, Twin Finder enables you to scan folders or even entire partitions for duplicate files and helps you determine which files you should keep and which files you need to delete. To get started, you first have to select the folder you want to scan.

After selecting the target directory, Twin Finder automatically scans its contents for duplicate files and presents you a list with all duplicates organized in small groups for quicker and easier file sorting.

The top toolbar provides multiple sorting options such as “Older”, “Newer”, “Smaller” and “Larger” that you can use to decide which files go to Trash. At any time during your selection you can instantly deselect all files or inverse your selection.

The above mentioned sorting options are also designed to mark older, newer, smaller or larger files so you don’t have to do it manually.  it’s also helps you open the file path to the selected file and use Mac OS X’s Quick Look feature to preview the file.

When you are happy with your selection and sure about the files you want to remove from your Mac’s hard disk, you can click on the “Delete” button. Twin Finder automatically displays the list with the files that follow to be deleted and offers you the option to move the files to Trash or permanently delete them from your Mac.

Twin Finder performed as expected during our test period and allowed us to get rid of multiple duplicates that took up precious storage space. However, we would have appreciated Twin Finder even more if it featured a built-in search form that allowed us to filter the displayed items.
