ePub Checker For Mac

ePub Checker is a straightforward Mac OS X application that uses the open source utility and library called EpubCheck in order to help you validate and detect errors in ePub formatted eBooks.

EpubCheck is capable to validate and reveal errors in structural markup files such as OPS, OPF or OCF, as well as XHTML and image files. If you are not familiar with the Terminal app and you cannot use the  standalone command line tool, you can turn to ePub Checker and ease your work.

ePub Checker comes with a simple, clean and user-oriented interface from which you can quickly and effortlessly load the ePub files you need to analyze, check for errors and validate.

The top toolbar helps you open the eBooks you want to check, stop the check process, reinitialize the analysis and open the activity log.

Moreover, you can drag and drop your ePub files directly onto its main window and let the app analyze your eBooks. The results are displayed in a expandable, as well as collapsable list view, that you can save as as a log file.

Thanks to the color-coded system, you can easily identify valid, corrupted or protected ePub files. Hence, the green color marks valid eBooks, the red color indicates the presence of errors while the grey color pinpoints DRM protected ePubs or files that ePub Checker failed to check.

You can configure ePub Checker to automatically ignore iTunesMedatadata.plist file errors and use EpubCheck 3.0.1 or EpubCheck 1.2 to validate your files. EpubCheck is capable to automatically save all logs in the current log folder from where you can easily access.
