Window Cleaner For Mac

Window Cleaner is a menu bar based macOS utility that can automatically hide background windows after a period of inactivity.

You are allowed to set how long the background window should be visible before being hidden and specify which applications to exclude.

The app is extremely easy to use and only provides a compact Preferences window divided into 2 tabs. The first one enables you to set how long an inactive app should stay visible before Window Cleaner automatically hides it.

The second tab lets you to select the applications that you do not want to be affected by Window Cleaner.

For instance, you can allow word processor apps that display documents in the background which you need to see.

Like most macOS applications, Window Cleaner also offers an option to automatically be launched when the operating system wakes up.

What’s more, the system bar icon colored in blue, but a monochromatic one would come in handy, too.

The utility provides a straightforward solution to hide windows in the background when you do not use them for a period of time. The advantage is that you can configure this period of time and even block apps that should not be affected.
