TweakFriend For Mac

TweakFriend is a streamlined OS X utility that makes it simple for you to customize some of OS X’s Finder, Dock, and System functionality hidden features, as well as to adjust certain GUI layout options.

TweakFriend features a well-organized and straightforward user interface, with its most important element being the top toolbar that incorporates four main tab menus. From the top toolbar, you can access the Finder, Dock, System, and Developer customizability options.

Within the Finder menu tab, you can hide forbidden files and desktop elements, enable the Finder app to quit with “CMD + Q” shortcut, and create hidden folders or files.

TweakFriend’s System tab menu provides you with the possibility to disable your Mac’s sleep mode, change the screenshot formats to PNG, JPG, GIF, TIFF, and PDF, as well as their default location, and disable the notification center.

It must be said that while we have tested it on both OS X Mavericks and OS X Yosemite, we have encountered some small issues with a number of features that didn’t quite function properly when enabled.

The fact that some small bugs exist, is quite an understandable situation since the project is still in its infant development stages, and we hope that in the future, more features will be added and improvements in reliability and functionality will be performed.
