Tunlookup For Mac

Tunlookup is a streamlined and open source app for macOS which helps you quickly translate any text you input or available in your Mac's clipboard.

Thus, you need to first right click the app, click "Open" and then "Open" again when your Mac asks you to confirm that you are sure you want to open it.

After it launches, Tunlookup does not display any user interface, but you can summon it with the ⌘ + D global keyboard shortcut. If you have already copied the word or phrase you need to interpret to your Mac's clipboard, Tunlookup will automatically load it as the content you want to translate.

Tunlookup's user interface is nothing special when compared to other translation apps out there, as it provides its users with the default dual-tab UI we are all used to, with a pinch of minimalism.

Moreover, you can maximize the Tunlookup window using the maximization button next to the Cancel one, at the bottom left side of the main screen. Tunlookup also allows you to work in full-screen mode which can be enabled with the help of the semaphore control in the top left corner of the main window.   The Tunlookup app also makes it possible to listen to what the currently translated word or phrase sounds like when read by native speakers.

Although it worked perfectly during our tests, Tunlookup does come with its little quirks among which the fact that it does not display its main window upon launch is the most troublesome.

Tunlookup is a fast little tool capable of helping you translate any text between almost 100 languages in an instant, albeit it needs a larger text input field to increase its user friendliness.
