The Timepiece user interface is represented by a single panel where you get to see the already defined counters. Note that you cannot give a name to the timers or adjust their value: just select one of the predefined counters and the app will start counting down.

Note that Timepiece provides support for keyboard control and you get to see the keyboard shortcut associated with each function by pressing the command key. You get to launch any of the 4 predefined counters this way, and even cancel the current timer.

By default, Timepiece will hide the timer window, but you can bring it forward again at any time since its merely concealed in the Dock. On the other hand, the counter will also be displayed in the status bar, so you can always keep an eye on how much time you have left.

When the time is up, Timepiece brings its main panel forward and also plays a sound signal. Timepiece allows you to start 45, 30, 15, and 5 minutes counters, but the app gives you the option to extend the time with 5 or 10 minutes when you get the alert.

Timepiece does not come with any customization options, but via the Preferences window, you can choose to pause the iTunes playback if the app is running when the timer is over.
