Keep track of Calendar events and scheduled reminders in list mode and filter the entries by calendar or importance without too much effort. #Track Calendar event #Monitor Reminder #Upcoming event #Track #Tracker #Calendar
The Calendar and Reminders applications that come integrated with the system are ideal for keeping track of upcoming events or tasks that you need to perform.
However, since the apps do not feature a centralized view, keeping track of everything requires additional effort on the user side.
TimeTill is a small yet efficient application that brings all the information in the same user interface, allows you to filter the entries by calendar or importance, and lets you know how much time is left until each event.
Right off the bat, TimeTill asks the user for permission to integrate with the OS X Calendar and Reminders utilities. Granting access is imperative if you want to use the TimeTill utility.
Once everything is set, TimeTill will scan the Calendar and Reminders entries and automatically start displaying the upcoming events. TimeTill will preserve the color code associated with each calendar.
Worth mentioning is that TimeTill will not grab all the reminder lists: it will show in its main window only the scheduled entries. To make sure you have all the latest additions to the list, make sure to use the Command + R hotkey to refresh the list manually.
Within the TimeTill main window, you get to quickly toggle the visibility of the events associated with a particular calendar with a simple mouse click. The same rule applies when it comes to the scheduled reminders.
At the same time, you get to mark items as important (via the TimeTill Preferences you can also choose to assign them star icons) and choose to see only these entries. The approach is great if you want to prioritize.
TimeTill can also show you how much time is left until a particular event, and you can choose to see the full information or how many days, weeks, or months are left.
Bottom line, TimeTill merely grabs data from two apps that come integrated with the operating system and offers you the option to filter the entries by calendar, type, or importance.
Since all the information is already on the system, you get to use TimeTill without having to waste time adding the event details all over again.
