TCX Creator For Mac

TCX Creator is a free and very simple to use Mac OS X application that enables you to create Training Center XML (TCX) files that you can import into the Garmin Training Center. The app is designed to help you track your activity even when you do not use a GPS Device.

The utility features a minimalist and compact user interface where you can enter the requested values and export the TCX file based on those values. There are 2 standard types of activities you can track - running and biking - and another one of your choosing.

The following values can be entered: date / time, activity, distance (in kilometers), duration (in the hh:mm:ss format), calories (in kilocalories) and top speed (in kilometers per hour). By default, the current date and time values are displayed.

Once you complete every field, you can now click the “Create TCX-File” button, after which a saving dialog will appear. Besides the usual fields, you can also use one for specifying the top speed again before generating the TCX file in the preferred location.

If you have used the Garmin Training Center before, you will not have a problem importing the TCX file either. After importing it, the information will be displayed without delay.

In summary, the TCX Creator app does exactly what it says and enables you to create valid TCX files containing training information. The interface is straightforward, there are no extra options or hidden features and, on top of that, the price tag is free.
